The Anambra Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old mother, Mrs Ogechi Ofoma, over the alleged abuse of her seven-year-old daughter, Oluebube Ofoma, in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Monday. The command received a report on the evening of Sept. 13 concerning alleged child abuse and severe bodily injuries. The prompt intervention of security personnel and concerned residents led to the child's rescue and the mother's arrest.
