Suspected Boko Haram insurgents killed four people in Biturhuya village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The Chairman of the Hong Local Government Council, Aliyu Sa’ad Yerima, confirmed the killings and said the insurgents also set several houses ablaze. The attack occurred a few weeks after a similar incident in a neighbouring community. According to Yerima, the attackers arrived on motorcycles between 5pm and 6pm, opened fire on residents, and set houses on fire. He visited the community to commiserate with the bereaved families and assured residents of the government’s commitment to protecting their lives and property.
