Suspected bandits have reportedly beheaded one of more than 100 people abducted during an overnight attack on Shadadi and neighboring communities in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State. The bandits sent the severed head to a community leader as a warning over a N50 million levy. The attack and abduction occurred in the region.
