The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University Branch, has issued a final 14-day ultimatum to the Taraba State Government to implement outstanding provisions of the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU Agreement or face industrial action. The union warned it would explore all lawful measures to protect its members' welfare if the issues are not addressed by September 28, 2026. In a statement signed by Branch Chairman Dr. Joshua Garba Mbave, the union said the ultimatum took effect from September 14 and would expire on September 28. While acknowledging the state government's previous efforts at dialogue, ASUU said critical components of the agreement remained unimplemented and required urgent attention.
