Soldiers, Police Kill Scores Of Terrorists In Kebbi, Recover Arms, Motorcycles

A joint security operation by soldiers and police officers resulted in the killing of an unspecified number of terrorists in Gumki Forest, located in the Kangiwa local government area of Kebbi State. The operation took place on Monday in the forest, which is known to be a route used by bandits and Lakurawa terrorists. According to SP Bashir Usman, spokesperson for the Kebbi Police Command, items recovered from the slain terrorists included one PKT rifle with 174 rounds of live ammunition, one AK-47 rifle with 14 rounds of live ammunition, a pair of military camouflage uniforms, a pair of boots, two mobile phones, charms, and four motorcycles. Usman added that security personnel in the area are conducting an operation to clear the area and prevent further attacks.
