Former Minister of Sports Solomon Dalung said he would accept a victory by President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election as the verdict of Nigerians. He made the statement on Channels Television's Politics Today on Monday amid efforts by opposition parties to form a coalition ahead of the election. Dalung said the sovereignty to determine who governs the country belongs to Nigerians, and that a Tinubu win would indicate the opposition failed to convince the electorate. He added that he would not blame the coalition, as it speaks on behalf of the Nigerian people.
