John Akpanudoedehe, a former minister, has alleged that Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State instigated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's probe of former governor Udom Emmanuel and officials of his administration. The Akwa Ibom State government has dismissed the allegation as false and provocative. The EFCC had taken action against the former governor and his officials.
