Stakeholders have called on government at all levels and the private sector to invest more in classical music to enable more Nigerians to gain international recognition. The call was made by Lt. Col. Michael Toriola, Acting Director of the Nigerian Army Band Corps, and Mrs. Nana Gbolahan, Founder and Executive Director of Abba Music School and Studio, Abuja, during the annual classical music performance night tagged 'Symphony and Belcanto' in Abuja. They emphasized the need for investment in classical musicians from primary to tertiary institutions to catch interested individuals young. Lt. Col. Toriola noted that classical music has its own audience and is not on the decline.
