Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said he will support teenage winger Lamine Yamal's bid to win the Ballon d'Or, citing the player's self-confidence on and off the pitch. The 19-year-old, who won the World Cup with Spain and La Liga with Barcelona last season, said in an interview that he believes he deserves the accolade and that he and Kylian Mbappe are the two best players in the world. Flick said Yamal is honest and has shown his quality at the start of the season, though he would have preferred the teenager not to have spoken about the award. Yamal has scored seven goals in Barcelona's last four games, helping the club maintain a 100 percent start to the season.
