Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) is targeting the end of 2027 to start up its $10 billion Train 7 project, according to managing director Adeleye Falade. The project, located on Bonny Island, aims to increase NLNG's production capacity from 22 million to 30 million metric tonnes per annum. Falade, speaking at the Gastech conference in Bangkok, noted that the project has faced delays due to COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine. NLNG remains under a force majeure declared in 2022 after flooding disrupted gas supply, and it will be lifted once utilization reaches 90%; current utilization is 82-83%.
