The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has directed its affiliate unions to suspend the industrial action over the concession of King's College, Lagos, after receiving assurances from the Federal Government regarding job protection. The directive was issued by TUC General Secretary Nuhu Toro following an emergency meeting with Minister of Education Tunji Alausa in Abuja. The dispute arose from the government's decision to concession King's College to the King's College Old Boys' Association under a public-private partnership. The strike had disrupted the resumption of the 2026/2027 academic session in federal unity colleges nationwide.
