Five suspected terrorists have been arrested in connection with an attack on a military base in Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government Area of Oyo State. The state's deputy governor, Barrister Adebayo Lawal, disclosed the arrests after inspecting the scene with the Commanding Officer of 81 Battalion, Lt. Col. Innocent Asogwa. The suspects were wearing military uniforms, and more arrests are expected as at least 120 soldiers have been deployed to pursue the remaining attackers. The fire that destroyed an Operation Burst vehicle and camp structure was caused by grenade launchers igniting cooking cylinders.
