The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology in Lokoja, Kogi State, has appointed Mr Zakari Illiyasu as its new Deputy Rector. The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated September 14, 2026, signed by the Rector, Dr Onum Oba, and takes effect immediately. The management stated that the appointment was based on Illiyasu's wealth of working experience and its confidence in his ability to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the office. Illiyasu's appointment is for an initial term of three years, with the possibility of reappointment for a second and final term of two years, subject to satisfactory performance. He was directed to submit a letter of acceptance and two recent passport photographs to the Office of the Registrar for documentation.
