The maiden Victoria Island Carnival 2026 is set to take place, organised by Downtown Promotions in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. The week-long event, themed 'Eko's Jewel: A Legacy Rich in Colour,' will feature music, fashion, art, and street culture. It officially kicked off with the establishment of the central Carnival Village at Muri Okunola Park on September 14. The carnival is expected to cause diversions as Victoria Island hosts the cultural spectacle.
