The immediate past Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, has reported that troops killed over 1,106 JAS/ISWAP terrorists and arrested 758 suspected logistics collaborators during his 17-month tenure. He made the disclosure during a handover ceremony in Maiduguri, where he transferred command to Major General Ibikunle Ajose. The operations also led to the recovery of more than 475 assorted weapons and 24,409 rounds of ammunition. Among the killed terrorists were several senior commanders.
