The Catholic Diocese of Warri has announced the death of the Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Mario Ozele, who was the Episcopal Vicar of Ughelli Pastoral Region and Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ughelli. He died at the age of 60 in the early hours of Tuesday, September 15, 2026, after an illness. A notification signed by the Diocesan Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Jude Nwabukekei, stated that Ozele bore his illness with faith and courage. The diocese expressed profound sorrow and submission to God's will in announcing his passing.
