Anthropic customers are still waiting for zero data retention for the newest Fable AI models, which would prevent the company from storing usage data. As a result, some major customers like Palantir and Booz Allen are expanding their use of OpenAI's Astra model, which they have secured with zero data retention. Both companies have restricted their use of Fable models because Anthropic announced in June that it would store customer data for 30 days for security reasons. Anthropic plans to launch a new program called Enterprise Frontier Safeguards later this fall, which will give eligible customers zero data retention.
