Atiku: Tinubu exporting wealth, importing hardship

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of running an economic policy that exports Nigeria's wealth in raw form while leaving Nigerians with higher prices, weaker purchasing power, and struggling factories. In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said the contradiction has become impossible to hide. He stated that Nigeria is exporting more raw materials, yet Nigerian manufacturers are sitting on trillions of naira worth of unsold goods because ordinary families can no longer afford what they produce. Atiku described this as the painful paradox of Tinubu's economy, where ships leave ports full but Nigerians' pockets are empty, and argued that a $1 trillion economy cannot be built by making people poorer.
