Colombian football star James Rodriguez announced his retirement from the national team after 15 years and three World Cups. The 35-year-old captain said in a social media video that he was leaving with serenity because he gave absolutely everything. Rodriguez won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where Colombia reached the quarter-finals for the first time. He remained part of the Colombia side that reached the Copa America final two years ago, and last week joined Colombian side Atletico Nacional.
