Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited, has said he does not believe having a male child would have made a difference to the success he has achieved with his three daughters. Speaking in an exclusive interview with ARISE News on Tuesday, he said having a son is not a priority for him and that people should not force things when God does not provide them. He was responding to a question about the traditional expectation in Kano society for a male heir to carry on a family name and legacy. Dangote said he does not think a son would have done better than his three daughters, adding that a male child does not necessarily preserve or advance a family's legacy.
