Oracle CFO says 'doing more with less' isn't the answer in all-hands after layoffs

Oracle's Chief Financial Officer Hilary Maxson addressed employees in an all-hands meeting on Tuesday. She stated that the company does not want employees to adopt a 'doing more with less' approach. Her remarks followed Oracle's initiation of a new round of layoffs, aimed at reducing payroll costs due to significant debt incurred for infrastructure funding. The company's workforce decreased by 21,000 employees, or 13%, in the fiscal year ending May 31, 2026.
