Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike has dismissed opposition from the All Progressives Congress Governors' Forum to the proposed Rainbow Coalition, stating that the governors' position lacks political basis. Speaking in an interview with Arise News, Wike said supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027 did not require coalition members to abandon their own political parties or stop fielding candidates for other positions. He added that he had never approached the APC Governors' Forum to form an alliance, and that his support for Tinubu was based on personal conviction about the President's performance.
