The Delta State High Court has declined the bail application filed on behalf of Mr Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, who faces allegations relating to the death of late Favour Agbro. The ruling was delivered on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, after arguments by counsel. The court ordered that Ogbonna remain in custody at the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre and directed the Director of Public Prosecutions to file the Information within 14 days. According to a statement by the defendant's counsel, the court declined the application at this stage, citing concerns about the applicant's safety and possible public reaction, while noting he could apply for bail after the Information is filed.
