The Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the recruitment of 7,069 job-seekers into the state workforce to address youth unemployment. Successful applicants have been issued appointment letters. The administration also plans to allocate 150 housing units at Grace Estate to low-level civil servants, with interested workers required to pay N50,000 for an Expression of Interest form. The State Head of Service, Mrs Elsie Peters, disclosed this during Civil Service Week activities in Uyo, stating that the houses would be provided free to eligible beneficiaries.
