A former President of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies and Group Managing Director of Finchglow Holdings Limited, Mr. Bernard Bankole, has urged the Federal Government to write off legacy debts owed by Nigerian airlines. He also called for financial discipline among domestic airlines. Bankole made the call while addressing newsmen at his office, amidst a recent row over the five per cent ticket sale charge between the airlines and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority. He argued that many of the debts had become doubtful and should no longer be carried on the books of either the airlines or government agencies.
