A coalition of northern political leaders, former governors, and senators has concluded plans to unveil a political mobilisation platform called Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The movement is structured across all 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, with a 14-member Board of Trustees chaired by former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau. According to a statement by Edwin Olofu, the group aims to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid. The platform includes former governors Geidam and Lalong among its leaders.
