Oando Nigeria Plc has become the main sponsor of the Lakowe Lakes Golf Classic, raising the prize purse and attracting top African professional golfers. The championship will be held in two phases at Lakowe Lakes Golf & Country Estate in Lagos, starting with the Nigeria Closed from September 28 to 30, 2026, for Nigerian professionals competing for a N30 million purse. The international phase will take place from October 2 to 4, featuring professionals from across Africa competing for $50,000 and World Ranking points. Femi Olagbenro, Manager at Lakowe Lakes, said Oando's involvement reinforces the championship's objective of creating competitive opportunities for Nigerian professionals.
