Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited has awarded grants to 215 young entrepreneurs in the Niger Delta to help them start, strengthen, and expand their businesses. The beneficiaries were selected from over 21,000 applications through a rigorous process involving training and business-plan development. The Vice President of Relations and Sustainable Development, Mr. Igo Weli, announced this at a graduation and award ceremony in Port Harcourt for the Regional Enterprise Development Programme and Ofoni/Lalagbene Enterprise Development Programme. Weli noted that the high number of applications demonstrates the entrepreneurial potential in the Niger Delta despite economic challenges.
