We Won’t Support Any Alliance That Can Undermine Tinubu’s Re-election, Say Govs

The Progressives Governors' Forum (PGF) has declared that it will not participate in, support, or endorse any political alliance that could undermine President Bola Tinubu's re-election, weaken the ruling party, or adversely affect its candidates in the 2027 general election. The declaration was made by PGF Chairman and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, after a closed-door meeting in Abuja. The forum, comprising governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasized that any arrangement causing confusion or division would be rejected. Additionally, Governor Yari stated that the President's first-term economic performance will guarantee his victory, while Wike's PDP criticized the ruling party's governors over poor performance.
