A Senior Magistrate Court II in Life Camp, Abuja, has sentenced 30-year-old Isaiah Lortim for stealing a tripod jack valued at N350,000 at Harmony Plaza, Jabi, Abuja. Lortim was also ordered to pay N250,000 as compensation for the goods he admitted stealing and selling. According to the police, he returned to the plaza on September 5, 2026, at about 1:20pm, where he was apprehended, and initially denied the offence before admitting to it after being shown CCTV footage. Magistrate Fatima Buka sentenced him to 10 days in a correctional facility.
