OpenAI's CFO Sarah Friar said AI is reducing the need for workers doing repetitive tasks, such as credit checks. In a Tuesday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer on "Mad Money," Friar said OpenAI uses AI for "mundane" finance work, and that the cost of each credit check fell from $200 to about $0.17. She noted that while AI limits the number of people needed for some roles, these are often jobs she does not consider great. Friar's comments highlight the efficiency gains from AI in finance operations.
