The rift between All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, may influence the 2027 general elections, according to party sources and analysts. The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) formally rejected cross-party political arrangements set by Wike under a rainbow coalition. With 31 of 36 state governors belonging to the APC, the outcome of the elections could be unpredictable.
