Seychelles: President Herminie to Attend 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly

President of Seychelles Dr Patrick Herminie will travel to New York to participate in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The session opened on 8 September 2026, with the General Debate beginning on 22 September under the theme "Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations That Delivers for All." The High-Level Week provides a platform for world leaders to address shared global challenges and advance cooperation on sustainable development, peace and stability. President Herminie will be out of the country from Wednesday, 16 September 2026 and is expected to resume office on Monday, 5 October 2026.
