Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke, in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force and local vigilantes, conducted an intelligence-led search-and-rescue operation in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State on September 14, 2026. The operation followed credible intelligence on suspected kidnappers operating around Amla-Icho, Ogobia and Anpekchi communities. Upon sighting the troops, the suspected kidnappers fled, abandoning their victims. The troops secured the area and successfully rescued seven kidnapped victims.
