Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has issued a 14-day ultimatum to kidnappers hiding in the state's forest reserves to vacate or face severe consequences. The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Forestry, Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban, disclosed this to newsmen in Akure. He said security agencies and hunters have been mobilized to raid the criminals' hideouts. Obayangban noted that security is a prerequisite for development, stating that without it, efforts to transform the forestry sector and ensure the safety of investors, farmers, and timber contractors would be meaningless.
