The Delta State House of Assembly has passed an executive bill for the payment of a 13th-month salary to workers in the state. The bill, initiated by the Oborevwori administration, seeks statutory backing for the annual payment of an additional month's salary to public servants. The passage followed its third reading during a plenary presided over by Speaker Emomotimi Dennis Guwor. The Assembly had earlier suspended relevant standing orders to allow for accelerated passage of the bill after a motion by House Leader Emeka Nwaobi was endorsed and adopted.
