Governor Yusuf Urges Candidates To Shun Violence, Hate Speech As Campaign Begins

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has urged governorship candidates and their supporters to shun hate speech, intimidation and violence as the 2027 electioneering campaign officially begins. The governor, through his spokesperson Sanusi Bature, made the call on Wednesday and urged political actors to keep the campaign peaceful and issue-based. He said his administration would focus its campaign on development, unity and prosperity, and urged candidates to compete on policies, programmes, records and ideas rather than insults and character assassination.
