347 rendered homeless as mudslide, flood ravage C’River — SEMA

The Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has reported that no fewer than 347 persons were displaced by mudslides and flash floods in August. The figure includes 167 persons rendered homeless by a mudslide in Calabar and about 180 others displaced by heavy rainfall in communities in the Central part of the state. The agency disclosed the figures as part of its assessment of the disaster's impact.
