Veteran Nollywood actor and film executive Olu Jacobs, whose real name was Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, died on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84. His family, including wife Joke Silva and their son, announced his passing and asked for privacy. Jacobs had a career spanning over five decades in theatre, television, and film, and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
