Three vigilantes were killed in an attack by armed men in the NTV community of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, on Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 11pm when the gunmen opened fire on the vigilantes who were on duty protecting residents. A resident, Gabriel Ayuba, confirmed the attack, and the Berom Youth Moulders spokesman, Rwang Tengwong, also confirmed the deaths. The attack has heightened tension in the community, and calls have been made for increased security patrols.
