Born in Kano, Trained in Britain: Things to Know About Olu Jacobs

Olu Jacobs was born in Kano to parents from Egba Alake and discovered his passion for acting as a young boy. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and worked in British television and international films before returning to Nigeria. He featured in more than 120 Nollywood films and received prestigious honours, including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Beyond acting, he and his wife, fellow actress Joke Silva, contributed to the industry.
