The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State confirmed that a fatal crash occurred at about 4 a.m. on Wednesday on the Ibadan-Lagos route at Straight Gate. Eight persons were involved in the accident, with four male adults confirmed dead, one male adult injured, and three others escaping unhurt. Two vehicles were involved: a blue Mitsubishi Cabstar with registration number FGE 753 XA and an ash-coloured HOWO truck with registration number T-695 KT. Preliminary investigation indicated that speed violation and wrong overtaking were responsible for the crash.
