The premises of King's College, Onikan, Lagos, were taken over by a contingent of policemen from various formations across Lagos State on Wednesday, following days of protests by parents over the proposed concession of the school. The development came a day after some parents reportedly had a serious altercation with policemen and members of the Old Boys Association of the college during a protest. Protesting parents were not seen around the main gate on Wednesday, as police officers and vehicles cordoned off roads leading to the premises. Vehicles approaching from the Tafawa Balewa Square end and heading towards the CMS bus stop were diverted to alternative routes by the police.
