Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke, in collaboration with the police and local vigilantes, rescued seven kidnapped victims in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State. The rescue operation was conducted on Monday following credible intelligence on the activities of suspected kidnappers in Amla-Icho, Ogobia in Otukpo LGA and Anpekchi communities in Ohimini LGA. According to Lieutenant Ahmad Zubairu, the kidnappers fled on sighting the troops, abandoning their victims. The operation was part of efforts to apprehend the suspects and secure the victims.
