Ambassador Richard Kabonero of Uganda and Ms. Nguyen Phuong Tra of Vietnam met to discuss bilateral relations, highlighting the 2022 visit of President Yoweri Museveni to Vietnam. The two countries are cooperating in agro-industrialization, tourism, mineral development, and science and technology. They noted the signing of an Action Plan on Collaboration in the Coffee Sector on 11th August 2026 in Hanoi, marking a shift to practical cooperation. The plan aims to improve productivity, sustainability, value addition, and access to international markets.
