Ghana: The Foreign Minister, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has granted audience to Mr. Tayeb Al-Siddiq Al-Bashir, an envoy of Western Sahara

Ghana's Foreign Minister, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, met with Mr. Tayeb Al-Siddiq Al-Bashir, an envoy of Western Sahara. The Foreign Minister reiterated Ghana's desire for an amicable resolution of the historical impasse. While Ghana's decision of January 6, 2025 has not been reversed, the government welcomes UN Security Council Resolution 2797, which supports negotiations based on Morocco's Autonomy proposal. Ghana commits to continued positive engagements with all parties and the international community in pursuit of lasting peace and justice.
