Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has challenged Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), to quit the presidential race if claims that his administration left Anambra State with outstanding liabilities are established. Onanuga's challenge followed fresh allegations by the Anambra State Government, which presented what it described as evidence of the debts. The development is the latest in a political dispute over the financial status of Anambra State under Obi's tenure as governor.
