At least five people have died in Los Angeles following a fatal bus collision and a subsequent news helicopter crash near the same site on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026. A Metro bus collided with another vehicle near Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue, killing two people and injuring six others. Later, an NBC4 news helicopter crashed between two commercial buildings on Mason Avenue, killing three people, including two aboard the aircraft and a pedestrian. One survivor was transported to a local hospital in grave condition.
