Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe said on Wednesday that some Nigerians have asked him to slow down improvements in electricity supply because their freezers are now working continuously. He made the claim in Abuja during the commissioning of a 3-megawatt solar hybrid power project at Yakubu Gowon University, formerly the University of Abuja. Tegbe said he has received feedback from consumers, noting that places that previously had no light for three months now enjoy 18 hours of supply. He added that he had promised during his Senate screening that Nigerians would see noticeable improvements in electricity supply.
