The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, has assured the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) of adequate security protection and operational support for more than 3,000 delegates expected to attend a global public relations conference in Abuja later this year. Disu gave the assurance when NIPR President Dr. Ike Neliaku led a delegation of the institute on a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. Neliaku said Nigeria had secured the hosting rights for the conference, which is expected to attract participants from 126 countries. He stressed the need for comprehensive security arrangements for the event.
